A big week for Hannah

This has been a big week for Miss Hannah, and she's loved it all. On Monday night we headed to her "big school" for meet and greet. Hannah was fortunate to get into an awesome program our school district offers. She's in a multi-age (3s and 4s) preschool inclusion class. She tested high enough to be able to be in the program as one of the "role model" students. She goes in the afternoons, 5 days a week, and it's free! She has a certified early childhood teacher and two teaching assistants. Right now she only has 10 kids in her class, but there is room for 14. She loved her classroom. She immediately found the babies and was quite distraught that there were no bottles for her babies. One of the assistants assured her that there would be bottles for the first day of school. She found her cubby, found her name on the list of kids, explored the toys, and got very angry/upset when Hayden started crying and we had to leave. I think that's a good sign! Her teacher comes to our house this Friday for a home visit and she is thrilled she's coming!

Hannah also started dance class last night. She was so excited she wore her leotard all day (and the day before as well). She had to have braids (like the character in the book I Wear my Tutu Everywhere) and proudly carried her dance book bag everywhere. When we got there I took her picture and she said "My first dance class" while I was taking the picture. I guess she's used to the whole picture taking thing, huh? I had to take a picture afterward too (her request) because she got a sticker and lollipop because she was the "best dancer ever". She's in a combination tap and ballet class. I asked which she liked best and she said "both!". She was ready to go back today :).
Hannah also finished up her bedtime sticker chart. This may not seem like a big deal to you all, but bedtime and naptime are pretty bad around here. We've finally made some progress with the sticker chart (for a while she didn't care) and have some successful naps/bedtimes. We've started another sticker chart with longer goals, and we'll see if we can manage to eliminate the need before too long.
