Our January

Our January hasn't been so great. 2011 hasn't started off so well. Hopefully the rest of the year will be good. I started the year with a sinus infection. The week I got off my medicine, Hannah was diagnosed with RSV. Luckily we were able to stay at home. Breathing treatments went well, most of the time. The steroids were terrible though. Hannah was a totally different child. This happened during our snow week, and it was fortunate that I didn't have to miss any school. When we went back to the doctor, her lungs were good, but the fluid had settled in her ears and she's currently on antibiotics for a double ear infection. Meanwhile, Justin went to the doctor. I think he's gone to the doctor one other time since we've been married. He felt awful. He had a sinus infection. He started getting over it and I started feeling bad again. Friday after school I headed over to the doctor to find that my sinus infection was back, I had strep throat, swollen and extra lymph nodes, my pulse was too high, and my lungs sounded like a child's with RSV. Adults don't usually get RSV, but the doctor said that's exactly what I sounded like. I had a breathing treatment at the doctor's office and they checked me several more times before I was allowed to leave. I stayed away from Hannah all day Friday and Saturday, and couldn't stand it anymore and finally picked her up and hugged her on Sunday (after making sure I washed my hands carefully). I'm off of school today on doctor's orders and should hopefully return tomorrow. I do feel much better. I"m so thankful for everyone who has helped us during the month of January. It's been a rough month, and we couldn't have made it without our mothers. Thanks especially to Mimi and Jaime who pitched in last minute this weekend to help us out so I could try to not expose Hannah to strep. Please say a little prayer for us that we will end January on a better note and continue 2011 healthy!!!!!

Hannah and Noah

Hannah loves when Noah comes to visit. She's not always great at sharing her toys, but her love for Noah always wins. I think Amy and I are in trouble in the future :)

Silly Girl & More Snow

These two pictures are just more evidence of what a silly girl Hannah is. While I was vacuuming the stairs Saturday, she didn't want to play upstairs, she didn't want to play downstairs...she gathered her "two blankies" and climbed into the basket in between the two floors. She sang to me while I was vacuuming. She had fun and I got my work done!


Sunday afternoon Hannah didn't take a long nap at all. I was grocery shopping and Daddy was on duty. He went up to get her when she started crying hard and found her like this. He went and grabbed the camera so he could capture the moment. I laughed so hard when I saw it. The only thing we can think (by the mess of the shirt) is that she took it totally off and tried to put it back on again.










We've got more snow. I"m currently sitting at home on the computer instead of sitting at the computer at school, as it would typically be the time of my related arts break. Hannah is going to think that "snowm" is a regular occurrence in SC. Due to the amount, the temperature and forecast for tonight, I'm doubting I'll be a school in the morning either (late start?). Luckily, UPS was smart for once so Justin is home too!
