Here are the new stats:

9 Months Old

Hannah turned 9 months old yesterday. Luckily, Nana was there when I got home from work (very late-almost 7:00; helping set up for Family Movie Night at School) to help me get a few pictures. Without her help, I don't know if we would have gotten anything. Hannah was not interested in staying still (is she ever?), the bow was too much excitement, and the sign was too appetizing. Notice a faint blue lip in some of the pictures. Luckily the markers are non-toxic! I have a super quick camera, but have found out that Hannah is quicker.

Hannah's 9 month check up isn't until Tuesday, so I will update the list with her height and weight sometime soon after Tuesday. Here we go for now:
  • Has finally gotten some teeth. She's gotten her 2 bottom teeth in 3 weeks, and they are slowing coming in.
  • Loves to eat finger food (kiwi and toast are her favorites right now, but she does loves graham crackers)
  • Loves to feed Kodak her finger food
  • Will use anything to pull up on to stand
  • Loves to climb up on stuff
  • "cruises" all over her toys and furniture
  • Loves to laugh (especially at Kodak)
  • Is all of a sudden growing out of all of her clothes
  • Likes to look at pictures
  • Her hair is growing faster every day
  • Absolutely loves to play with her friends

Favorite Things (for this week anyway)

Hannah has figured out how to make a new sound. She has discovered she can whistle. It looks like she's whistling and even sounds like she's whistling. She loves it, and does it all the time. It's really funny! I tried to get it on video, but she stopped every time I hit record.
Another favorite thing lately are the magnets on the refrigerator. She loves the magnets but loves the pictures more. She's been wanting to look at the pictures on all refrigerators for a while (Mimi and Nana's fridges are the best because they are filled with pictures of her!) so I took two of her favorite pictures and put them in heavy duty protective magnet frames. Hannah will go to the one of her and Madeline and stand at it for quite a while, just talking to Madeline non-stop. It's a hoot. She'll talk to the Mommy and Daddy picture some too, but mostly she talks to Madeline.

Catching Up

I have been total slack with the blog, so here is a quick photo update of the past few weeks. I hope that I will be better now that we are back into our "school routines".

New Year's Eve we spend the evening (and night - first sleepover!) with the Parrish family and friends. Hannah and Grace had some playtime before it was bedtime. Hannah loved Grace's fairy car. She wanted to ride so badly! Grace was very sweet about sharing with "baby Hannah".
Hannah's big gift this Christmas was from Mimi and Papa John. They gave Hannah a cute stroller/walker. Hannah loves to pull up on it and even takes some steps behind it. I have a feeling it won't be long until she's pushing it all over!

Hannah loves the vacuum. She is mesmerized by it. Maybe it's all those screaming nights that we turned on the vacuum just so the sound would help soothe her... either way, she's very still while you vacuum and watches your every move. If she tries to crawl after it while it's on, Kodak will run interference. He doesn't like the vacuum and doesn't think Hannah should be near it. It's very sweet.Several times this week, I have seen Hannah trying to push herself up to stand. Yikes! Here we go...
Hannah loves the balls she got for Christmas (it's the little things, literally). She got some fun little balls in her Nana stocking and then her sunflower ball for Beth and Austin. She will dump out her toy crate or climb in it, just to find one of her balls.
This week we started Kiwi. Instead of pureeing it, we did it as a finger food. She is so determined to pick them up, but they are too slippery. Instead she opens her mouth wide and makes noises until I put them in her mouth for her. Last night she ate almost an entire Kiwi by herself. She would have kept going if I hadn't cut her off (she'd already had chicken and veggies for dinner!)
It's been a fun start to the new year. Still no pictures of the new tooth, but hopefully soon.

New Year, New Tooth

Happy 2010!

Hannah rung in the New Year with a brand new (first) tooth! We were wondering if it would happen soon, as her poops have been what Heather called "tooth poops", she's been drooling, and has been really stuffy. We honestly thought she just had another cold. I still think she may still have a touch of something because of the coughing...but there is definitely a little sharp white thing, discovered early New Year's morning when she actually bit me! There aren't any pictures yet, but hopefully soon.
