We headed out to the lake once again this Memorial Day weekend. We managed to dodge the rain and get some good boating and swimming time in. We spend Sunday and Monday with the Vitters and got to see our friends, the Smith's for a little while as well. Next year we can't wait for their little girl to join in on the fun! We also got to spend some good quality time with the Connors, who are moving to Chicago in just a few short weeks. It was so good to see the two BFFs spend time together. It was also great to see how much difference a year makes. Madeline was excited to swim (not as excited as Ben though!) and even jumped in from the dock. She even braved a boat ride. What are these two girls going to do without each other?

In my pregnant state, being pulled behind the boat is not going to happen for me this summer. Go figure. So, Hannah decided to take my place! Our little fish, with no fear, tried the knee board out on Memorial Day. She loved every minute of it. Before you go nuts and think, "What is a 3 year old doing being pulled behind a boat!!!" Justin did it with her. I remember doing it with my dad when I was little (not quite 3, but either 4 or 5) and I know Hannah will look back on this and remember a fun memory with her dad as well. I knew we were going to try it, so I grabbed the big lens and got ready to photograph. From the beginning to the end, she had a blast. Justin was very careful to not let her go underwater (she didn't like that too much the day before, I guess she forgot what's it's like over the winter) and she was very careful to keep her eyes closed so water wouldn't go in them. Here is the event in pictures!
