Strawberry Picking 2013

 

This year we didn't visit the strawberry patch, but we did pick strawberries. We have strawberries in our backyard! When we bought the house last year there was a small plant that we got a few little berries off of. We didn't do anything to the plant over the winter and VOILA, we have a huge plant that has grown large, SWEET strawberries. We go pick them everyday now to get the new red ones. Our first picking was large and now we get a handful each day, and there are tons of green ones. Hopefully this means we will have berries for a few more weeks at least. They really are the sweetest berries I've tasted in a long time. Some of them taste like they have been dipped in sugar. Even Justin thought so!
